Over decades of performing and training in acting techniques Aaron D Frankel arrived at an answer to his question “What is the job of the actor?” The answer Aaron came too: ”The job of the actor is not to act but to breath authentic life into a character. To create all of the details that make up a person, memories, aspirations, hardships and joys, developing detailed complex people, because the job of an actor is to bring a person, no more than words on a page, to life in a real world.”
Coached by renowned Hollywood acting coach, Shari Shaw, who continues to guide him in pursuit of greater heights as an actor.

The short dramatic/thriller “A Rangers Way”, directed by Scott Danzig & starring Aaron D Frankel, wins “1st place, best long-short film” at 2023 KinoDrome International Film Festival
And featured at the 29th annual International Indie Gathering Film Festival- 2024. As well as being an official selection in multiple additional film festivals.

this is a scene from the 1986 film Manhunter (‘86 adaptation of Red Dragon) In the scene I portray my take on Dr Hannibal Lecter. with Daniel McMullen as agent Will Graham. Coached by the amazing Shari Shaw. This was part of a Scene Study showcase for industry professionals put on by Shari Shaw Studios.

A LITTLE ABOUT MY FILMMAKING
DIRECTOR & PRODUCER
As a Director, I work bery well with actors and have great success getting strong performances, being an heavily trained actor. my acting work has also broadenedthe depth of my storytelling. I like to instill a visceral emotion underneath a layered and structured story in which every character has a connection in relationship to the story and the other characters leaving no piece of the story without purpose. I studied & learned how to apply my obsession for abstract fluid visuals to my shot composition. What developed was an imaginative & dark signature style, creating emotionally expressive, carefully constructed imagery. Utilizing the elements of lighting effects, production design and camera movement intertwines drama into each shot. My strong acting and theater background helped develop my effective approach to directing actors performances.
